    • Total Marks: 100
    • Duration: 3 hours
    • Topics: Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Reading Comprehension, Communication, Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), People and Environment, Higher Education System: Governance, Polity, and Administration.
  2. Paper 2: Subject-specific Paper

    • Total Questions: 100 (All compulsory)
    • Total Marks: 200
    • Duration: 3 hours
    • The syllabus for Paper 2 is based on the subject chosen by the candidate.

Selection Process:

  • Candidates who clear the UGC NET exam are eligible for Assistant Professorship and may also be awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.
  • Those who qualify for JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professorship.
