CBSE students awaiting Class X results should prepare to pass an entrance test for admission to Class XI, the process of which will commence from the day the Board announces the results. For, most of the premier city schools conduct entrance test for the purpose.
Forms for admission to St. Michael's High School are already available at www.stmichaelspatna.edu.in. The forms have to be downloaded and filled in before submission in the school within two working days after the CBSE's Class X results are out.
The form comes for Rs 700. The cut-off criteria for science stream is A1 or A2 in maths and science separately while it is overall A1 or A2 and minimum B1 in mathematics (compulsory) for commerce.
The school will organise its admission test on June 5 and results will be declared on June 12, the school principal said and added the selection criteria for Michaelites would include Class IX and X marks, Bridge Course marks and admission test score. All Michaelites scoring below A1 or A2 will be admitted for commerce stream, the admission notice says.
At Notre Dame Academy, the registration forms for CBSE students will be available at the school office on the day after the results are out. Students need to bring a self-attested copy of the Class X marksheet downloaded from the internet and two recent passport size colour photographs.
According to principal Sr M Jessy, the admissions will be based solely on Class X marks and performance in the entrance test, details of which will be made available along with the admission forms. The school has already given admission to ICSE students.
A Loyola High School source said forms would be available for students of all the Boards after the CBSE's Class X results are out. At St Karen's High School and St Karen's Secondary School, registrations will begin on May 27, a school functionary said.
St Dominic Savio's High School is offering direct admission to science stream to ICSE students who have fetched 85% marks or more. ICSE students with 75% marks and above can take direct admission to commerce while those with 60% and above can take admission to arts stream. An entrance test will be organised on May 31 for students scoring below 85% but wishing to pursue science.
Don Bosco Academy and St Joseph's Convent High School, which are affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, commenced their admission process from May 7, the day the ICSE results were announced. Online registration for Class XI is also underway at Radiant International School and Baldwin Academy, among others.
