RGCB invites applications/rtominauons for two National Chairs in Disease Biology and Biotechnology The awardees would be exceptionally distinguished researchers/academicians, who are internationally recognized leaders in their respective fields and who would be able to develop and undertake research programs of excellence at RGCB. in addition, they would be expected to mentor young faculty and students in order to enhance the academic standards and achievements of RGCB. Applicants or nominees will have research interests compatible with RGCB, have an outstanding track record reflected by achievements such as the Bhatnagar Award, Swamajayanthi and other equrvalent awards, elected Fellows of Science and Medical Academies and an otherwise excellent career record in research.
Each of the appointments shall carry consolidated emoluments of Rupees 1.50,0007- per month with an annual increase of 5%. The duration of the chair as per contract shall not exceed 5 years. The age at end of the chair award shall also not be more than 64 years.
