Responsibilities
The position is responsible for providing support to the Private Sector Operations Department's Financial Institutions Division (PSFI) in the processing, structuring and implementation of ADB's private sector funding and support (including debt, equity and quasi-equity, guarantees, and technical assistance) primarily for India's capital markets and financial sector and, secondarily, for the remaining South Asian countries in which ADB is active.
Reporting Arrangements
Supervisor: Director, PSFI and/or designated International Staff of Private Sector Operations Department on substantive technical, policy-related and operational aspects and Country Director, India Resident Mission for country-specific and day-to-day administrative matters with consultation from Director, PSFI.
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related fields; preferably with advanced training
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in the field of banking and nonbanking sectors with a leading international or local financial institution, and/or investment bank
• Proven ability to identify and build a pipeline of transactions in the financial sector
• Ability to undertake research and analytical work, collect, and organize required information
• Ability to analyze banking and nonbanking financial statements and projections
• Excellent skills in written and oral communication in English
• Able to guide Administrative Staff to facilitate work planning, delivery, and quality review
• Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member
