COMMUNICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The incumbent will be providing strategic, technical, operational and managerial support to UNICEF Programme Communication section in developing and implementing social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) strategies aimed al fostering an environment at the family and community levels for child survival, health-related emergencies and child protection. The geographic focus would be at the national level, in programmatic focus states and districts, as well as interventions that build capacity and strengthen the government systems in communication planning, implementation, monitoring and documentation. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in the Social/Behavioural sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health, Education) or other fields related to the work of UNICEF. At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in designing, planning and management of strategic communication programmes with focus on strategic communication planning for behaviour development/ social mobilization/advocacy/participatory communication/development and production of creative materials/research, training or facilitation of communication/impact evaluation of communication interventions.
