CHIEF, FIELD OFFICE, MUMBAI
The incumbent will be responsible for UNlCEF's advocacy with the government and other partners for the enhancement of the survival, protection, development and participation of children and women in State development efforts. He/she will represent the India Country Office Representative in all aspects of UNICEPs cooperation with the State Government in Maharashtra (India). He/she will also be responsible for all aspects of office management of the UNICEF state office. Minimum Requirements: Advanced university degree from a recognized university in social sciences or equivalent. Leadership and Management training will be an asset. Knowledge of UNICEF programming policies and procedures will be an advantage. Minimum eight years' of progressively responsible professional work experience at national level in identification, planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of social development programmes. Experience of managing operations of a medium size office including supervising Professional staff required.
COMMUNICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, LUCKNOW
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to lead the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of strategic communication for behavior and community-led social change communication strategies in support of the India Country Programme, with specific focus on the state of Uttar Pradesh. Minimum Requirements: Advanced university degree in the Social/Behavioural Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology. Psychology, Health, Education or other field related to the work of UNICEF). Training in media and communication with experience in strategic communication planning for behavior development/social mobilization/advocacy/participatory communication/development and production of creative materials/research, training or facilitation of communication/impact evaluation of communication intervenlions required. Minimum five years' of progressively responsible work experience in the design, planning and management of strategic communication programmes. Experience in intcr-disciplinary approach in strategic communication with knowledge of UN and/or UNlCEF's work in humanitarian action an asset.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER (POLIO ERADICTION), PATNA
Under the close guidance of the Programme Manager (Polio), the incumbent will be required lo provide technical oversight and guidance to the monitoring, evaluation and data management requirements of the Communication component of the Polio Programme in Bihar State. This includes analysis of epidemiological & polio communication data from MIS and preparation of reports & technical presentations for use with government, partners, trainings & workshops. Minimum Requirements: University degree in public health, epidemiology or medicine, combined with sound technical knowledge of management information systems and various computer applications. Minimum two years' experience in data management and analysis, programme management and project advocacy preferably in polio eradication programme. Past experience in synthesizing data related to polio epidemiology, supplementary immunization activities and communication programming for polio desirable.
