The Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP) is an ambitious project of the Government of Bihar for the alleviation of poverty in the State. The objective of the project is to provide right & equal opportunities for livelihoods for rural community especially poor. Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society under overall Framework of National Rural Livelihoods Mission to scale up the JEEViKA model of poverty alleviation through-out the all 534 blocks of 38 district of Bihar in a phased manner.Over a period of 10years, SRLM mandate is to mobilize 1.25 crores rural HHs into 10 Lakhs SHGs, 65000 VOs and 1600 CLFs. BRLPS through the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP) aims to improve rural livelihood options and works towards social and economic empowerment of the rural poor and women. Development professionals working with BRLPS intervene with the community through the following four themes or programmes: institution and capacity building, social development, microfinance and livelihoods.
BRLP is a marquee programme in development and has already earned recognition from various governments, governmental/nongovernmental and other stakeholders for its path breaking initiatives. It provides a professional and challenging work environment to its associates. This is a good opportunity for experienced development

Function / Domain Job Description Candidate Profile Reservations  
Community Finance Developing and designing community finance system, strategies and business plan in the project and successfully implementing interventions accordingly.
Based on analysis, designing “point of intervention” as well as strategies required.
Organizing and facilitating the development of execution plan for community institutions and strengthening the functioning of community finance.
Providing capacity building support to community institutions Ensuring overall improvement of intervention and achievement of community finance target.
S/he should have experience of SHGs /federations. S/he should also have effective training skill and have experience of designing and implementing capacity building to community institutions. S/he should also possess skill of establishing robust mechanism for maintaining accounting system of rural community institutions.
S/he should possess good communication skill. The individual should have CA/CA (inter)/ M.Com./MBA Finance with minimum relevant work experience of 7 years in development project.
S/he should have good communication skill (both oral and writing). Proficiency in working with MS office is a must.

Health and Nutrition Developing annual business plan of Health and Nutrition sector in the project and successfully implementing interventions accordingly.
Identification of possible health sector interventions and preparing frame work, action plan and process for its execution.
Based on analysis, designing the “point of intervention” as well as its strategies
Facilitating required development of execution plan of community institutions and strengthening the system of functioning
Staff capacity building for those involved in health and nutrition sector activities at district and block level.
Managing partnership agreed for facilitating health activities in the project Ensuring overall improvement and quality of intervention and achievement of program goals and target.
S/he should have worked in health development Program/project specifically for community Health and Nutrition to improve health of poor.
S/he should have wide experience of Policy framework designing and rolling out the health program. S/he should also have experience of establishing business network and liaison with other health development partners/ stake holders/ enterprises, government and service provider agencies.
S/he possesses good communication skill.
The individual should have Post Graduate in Management/ MSW/ PGDRD (in regular course) from premier institute with minimum relevant work experience of 7 years, out of which 3 years relevant experience should be of senior management level.
S/he should have good communication skill (both oral and writing).Proficiency in working with MS office is a must.

Organising producers’ group and facilitate them to develop their business plan and strengthen system of functioning Staff capacity building for those involved in Off‐farm sector activities at district and block level Managing partnership agreed for facilitating Off‐farm activities in the project
Ensuring quality check of the produce being developed by the producers’ companies Establishing “Business to Business” and “Business to Consumers” market network for the produce
S/he should have worked in Community development Program / project specifically for promotion of Off‐farm based enterprise/ business / developed business model to improve livelihoods of poor.
S/he should have experience of promoting producers’ companies, facilitating their operations and establishing market linkages for better price of produce.
S/he should have experience of establishing business network and liaison with business enterprises, government and service provider agencies.
S/he should possess good communication skill. The individual should have Post Graduate in Agriculture and Allied sector /Rural Management/development in regular course from a Premiere Institute with minimum relevant work experience of 7 years, out of which 3 years relevant experience should be of senior manager level.

MIS Developing annual business plan of Monitoring, Evaluation and learning through proper MIS in the project.
Based on analysis, designing of appropriate monitoring and evaluation frame work and “point of intervention” as well as defining its strategies and action plan.
Capturing the Project learning and designing the appropriate methodology for managing the Data Base of the Project
Capacity building of staff for proper handling of MIS, managing Data base and proper analysis of project progress at District and Block level.

S/he should have worked in large set up development Program / project preferably in Microfinance based Community institutions development Program.
S/he should have experience of designing; managing and handling large scale computerized Management Information System.
S/he should also have experience of establishing business network and liaison with business enterprises, government and service provider agencies. The individual should be a Management Graduate MCA/MSW/PGDRD/B.E (IT/Computer) in regular course from premier institute with minimum relevant work experience of 7 years, out of which 3 years relevant experience should be of senior manager level.
S/he should have good communication skill (both oral and writing). Proficiency in working with MS office particularly in excel environment is a must.

Project Associate S/he should be PG degree in any discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience or Graduation in any discipline (regular course) with at least 3 years of relevant experience or Fresh PG in Rural Management/ Rural Development/ MSW/Graduate in Agriculture and Allied. PG degree/Bachelor degree holder should have experience of working in development project or government development programme in the areas of documentation, communication, reporting, data entry, file management, facilitating event organization & business dealing with different agencies.
S/he should have very good working knowledge in MS office environment. Good writing and communication skill will be essential. Typing skill in Hindi & English would be desirable.
To assist and support thematic consultants (SPM & PMs) in executing their thematic responsibilities. To collect data, information, conduct analysis, and studies regarding interventions, compiling reports and book/ record keeping. Coordination with other Units at SPMU/ DPCU. Total Vacancies :  14

IT Associate S/he should be Fresh Post Graduate in IT/MCA/MBA-IT or Degree in IT/BCA (regular course) with at least 2 years relevant experience in software development, system maintenance/ data administration/ system networking & administration/RDBMS etc.
Preferably s/he should have good knowledge of RDBMS package/Web technologies viz. Dot Net, J2EE, PHP etc. would be desirable.
S/he will be responsible for providing technical support to thematic unit viz. M & E, HR, Jobs, admin, and communication in managing computerized information system for project. S/he will also be responsible for providing system support, networking, software development and system maintenance etc., responsible for channeling upward and backward official communication.
S/he will also have to undertake extensive field visit to ensure the maintenance of MIS and systems at DPCU/BPIU levels.
