One- Vacancy and Pay
Scale
:-
Applications are
invited for the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in Chhattisgarh Higher
Judicial Service in the pay scale of Rs. 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070 in the
cadre of Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment from the Bar.
Recruitment to these posts and conditions of service shall be governed by the
Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service),
Rules 2006
Two-
Eligibility :-
No
person shall be eligible for appointment to the post of District Judge (Entry
Level) in Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment unless, he or
she:-(a) is a citizen of India;
(b)
has attained the age of 35 years and has not attained the age of 45 years on
the first day of January 2012 provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed
upto a maximum limit of 3 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled
Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes who are the bonafide
residents of Chhattisgarh State.
(Attested
copy of Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority & valid in all
respects must be enclosed with the application)
(c)
has
been for atleast seven years in continuous practice as an Advocate on the first
day of January 2012. The applicant shall furnish a certificate from the
Registrar General of the High Court or Principal District & Sessions Judge
concerned, bearing legible seal with date, month & year of issuance, that
he/she is an advocate having practiced for not less than seven years as such in
the format given at Annexure along with the application
(d)
has
good character and is of sound mind and body and free from any body or mental
disability which renders him/her unfit for such appointment.
NOTE:-(i) The posts reserved for Scheduled
Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other
Backward Classes are reserved only for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and
Other Backward Classes who are bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh State.
The
applicants, who are bonafide residents of other states and recognized as
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes in their own states
will only be considered against unreserved posts.
(ii) The candidates of OBC should not come
under creamy layer.
Three - Application
form & testimonials :
Advocates
interested in and who are eligible to be considered for the post should submit
their applications in the format available on the website along with duly
attested certificates / testimonials relating to their date of birth, caste,
qualification, domicile, experience standing at the Bar.
Four – Instruction / Information for filling the application
form.
Application
form for the District Judge (Entry Level) Examination 2012 is available on
website i.e. www.cghighcourt.nic.in.
(a)
The
bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled
Tribe or Other Backward Classes should specify their category in the
application form.
(b)
The application duly filled in and signed along with
Identity-Sheet & four
identical and recent passport size photographs with name and address of the
applicant on the back of the photographs affixing one photograph on application
form, one photograph on Identity-Sheet and two photographs to be stapled at the
space provided in the application form and One self addressed envelope (11” x 5”) stamped with postal stamps of Rs. 25/- each addressed to
the
Registrar General,
High Court of
Chhattisgarh, at Bodri, Bilaspur
(C.G.) Pin - 495220, must reach the Registry of this High Court on
or before 29/09/2012 till 5:00 P.M. The words “APPLICATION FOR District Judge (Entry
Level) Examination 2012 by direct recruitment and the Advt. No. 02/S & A
Cell/2012” should be super-scribed on the top of the 14 X 10 Inch size
envelope.
(c)
The
application form must be submitted in the appended format and must be computer
printed or downloaded in A4 size paper.
(d)
Last
date for submission of duly filled in & signed application is 29/09/2012
till 5:00 P.M. It is the responsibility of the applicant that
his/her application must reach the Registry office by 5:00 p.m. on the last
date. The applications can also be submitted by dropping it in the "Box"
kept therefor in the Registry office during the office hours i.e. from
10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on every working day till the last date. The
applications received in the Registry office by post till 5:00 p.m. on the last
date shall only be entertained. Registry will not be responsible for any postal
delay.

Five - Examination
Fees
(a)
Rs.
700/- for the candidates who are bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh state belonging to Scheduled Caste,
Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes as notified for the State of
Chhattisgarh.
(b)
Rs. 1000/- for all the candidates
belonging to Unreserved Category and for all the candidates who are not the
residents of Chhattisgarh state irrespective of their categories.
Examination
Fee is to be deposited only in the form of Challan with SBI branches through
Core Banking Network all over India. Therefore, original copy of Challan must
be attached along with application form. Challan form is available along with
application form on website i.e. www.cghighcourt.nic.in.
Most important-
(i) Fee
in the form of Cash, Money Order, Bank Draft or Cheque shall not be accepted in
any case and such applications shall be rejected for want of adequate fee.
(ii)
Before sending the challan the candidates should ensure and be
satisfied that there is no default. In case the challan is found
defective or incomplete, the application shall be treated as rejected.
Note-
(a)
The
applications received after the expiry of last date, shall not be entertained.
(b)
Fee
shall not be refunded in any case.
(c)
In case of receipt of application after expiry of the
last date or in case of rejection of the application the fee shall not be
refunded. Therefore,
the candidates are advised that instead of waiting for the last date, it would
be in their interest to send the application form much earlier.
(d)
The
Challan for the determined fees shall compulsory be attached with
the application form.
Six - Incomplete
Application :
The
application shall be summarily rejected if by the last date for the receipt of
application it is found to be deficient in any respect or/and is not
accompanied by the requisite documents as mentioned above.
Seven - Examination :-
(i)
Eligible candidates shall be required to appear in written examination in the
exam centre and for viva-voce at their own expenses before the High Court of
Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur or at such other places as may be specified by the High
Court.
(ii)
Only such candidates will be called for Viva-voce as the High Court may decide
on the basis of merit of their performance in the written examination, Provided
that a candidate appearing in the written examination for selection by direct
recruitment from amongst the eligible advocates, must secure 60% marks in case
of Unreserved Category and 50% in case of reserved category bonafide residents
of Chhattisgarh State to qualify for viva-voce test in the ratio of 1:3 in
order of merit.
(iii) The Viva Voce shall carry 20 marks
maximum.
(iv) Candidates shall be selected on the basis
of aggregate marks obtained by them in both, the written examination and
viva-voce Candidates shall not be
eligible for appointment unless he / she secures minimum 50 % marks in Viva
Voce test.
(v)
A candidate selected for appointment shall be required to undergo medical
examination of physical fitness by a Medical Board before he/she is appointed.
Every candidate who appears before medical board shall pay the Medical Examination
fee which in no case shall be refundable.
Eight- Admit-card :–
Admit
card will be made available only on the website of our high court i.e. www.cghighcourt.nic.in
15 days prior to the date of written examination, Candidates can download &
print the admit cards from website.
Nine - Incomplete or
false information :-
(a)
If any of the particulars furnished in application and enclosures are found to
be false within the knowledge of the candidate or if the candidate is found to
have willfully suppressed any material fact, he/she, if appointed, shall be
liable to be dismissed from service.
(b)
The candidates are required to fill in the application form with correct and
complete information carefully as per the directions given in the
advertisement. If any incomplete or false information is given, the candidate
shall be responsible and on the basis of the false and incomplete information,
the application shall be rejected at any stage of the selection without giving
any prior notice.
Note- The
candidates remaining absent
in the interview
shall be disqualified for the
selection.
