Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), an autonomous society under department of Finance, Govt. of Bihar has been able to reach out to 5 Lakh rural poor households, organizing them into nearly 45000 women Self Help Groups and 3000 village level federations in four and half years. These institutions have generated Rs. 20.20 crore as their own funds and leveraged Rs. 110 crore from the Banks.
The Govt. of Bihar has designated BRLPS as State Rural Livelihoods Mission to scale up the JEEViKA model in the entire state of Bihar under NRLM. This program will be implemented in all the habitations/villages of Bihar in a phased manner by organizing and empowering 1.25 crore rural poor households through 10 Lakh sustainable SHGs & their federations. The program will develop innovative business models for the poor households.

- Current Opening is “Young Professional” : 39 Positions – (UR-3, SC-14, ST-1, EBC-16, BC-5) as per reservation policy of Government of Bihar.
Eligibility Criteria : S/he should be passed out from IIMs, IRMA, IIFM, IITs, XLRI, DSE, FMS, MDI, SPJIM, Reputed universities of US & UK, XIMB, CIMP, MANAGE, TISS, IIRM, XISS, KSRM with a maximum of 3 years experience and not more than 30 years of age on 31/03/2012.
The incumbent will undergo a structured Young Professional programme of the Society. The first year of this programme would involve working in 2 different blocks (6 months each) and based on the performance, the incumbent may be moved to the district level to manage a project theme for one year. Based on the performance of the livelihood vertical within the theme, the incumbent may also be moved to the state level to manage the livelihood vertical.
The contract would be of 3 years. However, based on the annual performance of the incumbent, the contracts may be terminated earlier.
The pay package will be in the range of 25000/- to 60000/-
Selection Process: Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview
