Tamilnadu Vazhndhu Kaattuvom Project is an empowerment and poverty alleviation project implemented by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of Government of Tamil Nadu with World Bank assistance. The project is already being implemented in 16 districts of the state and is being extended to 10 more districts at a cost of Rs.950 crores this year. The Project has to fill the positions of Senior Specialists/ Specialists/ Junior Specialists in the state office at Chennai. We are looking for motivated and dynamic persons to support and strengthen the State Management Unit. Those recruited would guide and supervise the district teams to achieve all Project outcomes in their respective domains. They would be reporting directly to the Domain Heads/ Additional Project Director/ Project Director. The vacancies are

The maximum age limit of candidates for Senior Specialists/ Specialist is below 45 years and for Junior Specialists is below 35 years as on 01-10-2011.
Selected candidates would be employed with TNPVP on a contract basis for a period of two years, subject to annual performance review. Based on performance, there are opportunities for career growth and further extension of the contract.
The remuneration package consists of a consolidated monthly remuneration, performance based annual increment up to 10% of consolidated remuneration, travel and communication allowances as per norms, accident insurance cover, etc. The Project provides ample opportunities for professional development by sending staff for trainings, workshops and exposure visits.
